Born 1867 (Newmarket Q2-1867 3B:543) son of John and Ann Beeche JENNINGS (née BAXTER).
1871 census...Aged 5,he was at Granby Street,Newmarket with his father John JENNINGS [43] thatcher/stack dresse4, born Wisbech; his mother Ann B [33] born South Mimms, Middlesex; brothers John W [10] born Woodditton, George [8] and Henry E [6] and sister Ellen M.A. [4 months].All the children except John were born in Newmarket. 1881 census...Aged 15, he was at 1 Granby Street, with his parents; brothers John (solicitor's clerk), George S G (stack dresser), Edwin (draper's assistant), Percy R.[5], Christopher [4] and Sidney C [1]; sisters Ellen M.A. and Ada J [8]. The new children all born in Newmarket. 1891 census...Aged 23, he was at Granby House with his parents (father now a corn merchant's agent); sisters Ellen and Ada; brother Robert (Percy) a grocer's assistant,. Arthur and Sidney. 1901 census...Recorded as Fred, aged 33, a County Council clerk, he was at Beechcroft House, Park Lane with his parents (mother now recorded as Beeche, father a corn merchant); Christopher (County Council clerk), Sydney (manager of livery stable). 1911 census...Aged 43 a dealer in Racing Wares, he was in lodgings at 103 Jermyn Street, London. His parents were still at Beechcroft House with brothers Arthur and Sidney. 2 of the 12 siblings had died. Both his parents died in 1921. At the time of his death he was a commission agent, living at Glen Villa, Nat Flatman Street, Newmarket Richard died at the Marlborough Club, High Street, Newmarket. |
